Q: I'm a hobbyist. Is an ExtraTech controller right for me?

    Answer: No.
ExtraTech controllers are for industrial machines. Each unique implementation requires a custom Init file which tells the controller the physical environment that it needs to control. ExtraTech controllers are not cost effective for single sales. ExtraTech has a policy of avoiding individual sales, even for companies, because it's not cost effective for the customer or us.

A good place to start for a hobbyist is a robotics club such as the Seattle Robotics Society. They have information about hobby class controllers and even some projects you can work on. Another place to start might be Reynolds Electronics, which sells projects and tutorials for the beginner in the field of embedded design, and electronics.
